False LoveA Poem by CynicalChances are this poem is confusing, but just what you'd expect from something of my nature to brew up in the mist of night at 1:40 AM with class on the rise. I've been rinsed in countless thoughts..From the foothold of tears that dispersed between your loathed eye, Came the rumble from beneath - your tainted and perished cry, Before the earthen had spewed with a forever wilting glee, Flimsy and shook to partake on a frenzied spree, Into wilderness with tainted leaves - painted in winds with foretold lies, With paper mache trees set right up to your thighs, The thought of a partner with masochist ties. And so you were told this dream had come true, Before the day - once new - had shimmered to a dislodged blue, A shiver of acknowledgement in the sudden change of hue, Left with the final brink of life that ebbed to imbue. Once an emerald - now tarnished and faint, You move through these paper trees and continue to paint - Hapless images of romance and dalliance, That seize to exist in the mind of your illusioned ambience. © 2017 CynicalAuthor's Note
