EverestA Poem by CynicalA brief free verse poem in the mind of my beloved feline pet named Everest. Forever missed.
And here unto,
The bare trees of winter confinement, I exceed the boundaries of welcome fatality; To and fro, From the fatherly river i cross, Tears dappled against my face, From the astringent beings that lost their touch, I faintly swim ashore, An apparition unseen; Sanguine fluids exuded from detached clumps of fur; Flesh bare and fresh; As the barriers of my coexisting affection stand afoot a gimp figure; Tears a-stream their muddled faces. I am to cross these holy waters - The haven in which never recedes its awakening; Surpassing the era of humility and conformity; Filled to the brims with happiness and gaiety as its reverence; Bound by compassion and purity, Commenced to safe freedom - I relish it all as my brethren leads me amidst the heavenly gates, Unreturning to the cold fronts that sway across the crimson droplets of our breathing selves; Jubilance aloof; As we set across plush fields; Seeking congruity as we wait along the shore line; Remembrance of our family, In which we stand humbly for their return, And thankfully of their guidance. © 2016 CynicalAuthor's Note
