NEGATIVITY

NEGATIVITY

A Poem by Cyndy Robinson

Black and gold
a shimmering horizon
glittering a mirage slightly out of reach.

In my world of willpower
marshaling armies
that can't quite understand
its not in their control.

Bullets meant to kill
don't drip blood
shooting blanks
while life delivers a wedgie.

I am reaching for gold
UPS delivers a black hole.
Over nighted.
