A Poem by Pale Rose
"

A very personal love poem for a special someone.

"

so thin &     delicate

like a piece   of lil’ string

tied around our fingers,

this love. breaking

any moment,

yet--

entwined          with this

like shackles    to our walls

within each other’s chest.

it’s undeniable you’ve

sewn it closed--

my heart,

fixed

the needle      that is you

tiny, hard, and   wickedly sharp

slipped through. not a drop was

spilled, nor scar renewed--

I would never want this

pain to stop. So I'll

swallow you

whole

it’s a    wish I

heard, spoken by

your lips. could

I take, & still

give?

Oh, and it uses elements from a couple of my past poems, so you may want to read those also for full clarity. Lovely Needle, and to a lesser extent, Lover Needle and My Crow.
