Oh yes, it does hurt.

i've been held and touched

and told to smile

my whole life

i did everything 

they told me to

i completed high school

went to college

always made good grades

got a job

supported my mother

and never went a different way

only now that im pale

cold

and stiff

do they realize 

i completed life to the best of their wishes

and not a tear was shed
