Joy,Misery, and hopeA Poem by Ali chahine
Joy comes naked, free of all it's chains
She comes with a cup of wine overflowing She tells you that she is infinity That her ending never comes Beauty leaks from her edges And happiness dances in her pressence Misery comes burdened, with all the lies that have been told He comes and takes everything he sees He tells you that he is infinity That his ending never comes Sorrow exudes from his edges And pain indulges in his pressence But then hope comes . And says. Joy spoke truths And Misery never lied They never end they ebb and flow In this dance of beauty and sorrow © 2024 Ali chahine |
