Chimaira

A Poem by Ali chahine

My mother once told me
Of a fire
That survived for centuries
A fire that never goes out

Through the rain
storms
floods
And hurricanes

The fire dances with no care
It twirls with its blazing hair
And as the world tries to light it out
It smirks with its firey eyes and
Says im not going anywhere

This fire
This flame
I feel a similar spark

Oh mother they world might of blazed in me
A fire that never goes out
