Falling stars

Falling stars

A Poem by Less than Underground
"

Its feels sometimes like I start to rhyme...and it comes out free verse...

"

Can you count them, as they burn so bright
crashing into dark lit nights
So many falling stars
Burning so brightly
I desire to dance in their embers
as they slowly fade away

Can you tell me the answer
the young lady cries
As we float prayers into the midnight skies

...and even angels must fall

...brothers, sisters, one and all

...but it only comes, when I betray the gun

Can you catch one
with hands so small
Can you hold a spark of love divine
and keep the sands of time forever thine?

Can you tell me the answer
The old woman cries
as she watches tears streak cross November skies
And yet those distant days
betray our memory of today

...and even winter weeps
...sometimes

So many falling stars...

but they will not be the last...
