Not So Innocent Love

After loosing a CLOSE friend, I stopped drawing my Night Fury, Knightshade, because it hurt too much to think about him because Jason loved them. After seeing a Riders of Berk ep., I changed my mind.

Oh how I missed you, it's obviously plain to see.

I miss your kiss, my innocent little Dolfury.

When we first met, that time with your dad;

I didn't know it was possible for a human to be so glad.

Oops, pardon me, I forgot you're not human.

I forgot you can do more than what those creatures can.

You created me, like so many others, with blood and ink.

When you sealed our bond, it made me think,

"Why would this girl go to so much trouble

to make a creation like me to fit into her bubble?"

As we moved on, I started to see

that it wasn't just your hobby.  You needed me.

We were a lot alike, you and I

Our only difference is I'm a dragon, and I'm closer to the sky.

What happened to us?  You and me?

Why haven't you turned around, and checked to see

If I was still following you, close behind?

I thought I was different from the discarded others in your mind.

Your touch, your voice, even your scent and eyes.

I miss them all, even if those things are some's demise.

You unruly thing, you wicked girl.

Even I am innocent, but I still love to give others a whirl.

Your innocent smile is second to none.

But there's only one human alive that can see you're not the sun.

Just like me, you're a child of the night.

Night is also in my name, and causes many a fright.

Like me, you're sweet, oh sure a treat.

But on the flip side, you're something many fear to meet.

I want to be together again, like you and that dolphin.

Or maybe like you and that car, the one you call kin.

I want to join your exclussive party of three.

Your other obsessions and creations would die to get into that and see.

They'd kill to be near you, but I'm different.

I'm not one of your papparazzi, and I'll never relent.

What's this?  That light, could it be?

Peircing through the darkness...is that you, Dolly?

Have you truly come back for me?

Have you come to reclaim your only Night Fury?

Oh how I missed this, this butterfly kiss.

You always kiss my nose, and never from that spot do you miss.

Climb on my back, I'm eager to see

How Lunero and KITT are doing.  Your little rally.

What's that you say?  I caused you pain?

What did I do to make you think you wouldn't want to see me again?

A boy named Jason?  I haven't heard of him.

You say you used to be his Night Fury, despite how he was dim.

He betrayed you?  That human.  They're all the same.

In the end, he'll loose the game.

Let's fly back to the others, and they will once again see

you and me together, and we never flee.

I'll stick by your side forever.  Did I forget to mention?

That I'll spill the same blood for you that you gave in my creation?

Knightshade; a spin-off of a beautiful flower

that is also poisonous with fatal power.

Knightshade is my name, sound it loud.

I want it to be heard like the rumble of a storm cloud.

I'll stick with you forever, your dragon, and I'm glad you could see

that you need and love me deeply.

Before I go into the world again, to defend your love for me,

could you give me one more kiss to let my heart be free?

My bond to you is thicker than barbed wire.

And more loving and bright than any wildfire.

Hold my face in your hands.  I'm your dragon, your Night Fury.

I missed you and loved you, my innocent little Dolfury.
