My introductionA Poem by CwortkneeMy name is Courtney Martin, and I am
quite a mess. I procrastinate and complicate. I’m
needy, I confess. I’m awkward, clumsy, stubborn, and I
always second guess. And when it comes to being brave, I
never pass the test.
It is only fair that I should judge
myself with honesty. Perhaps my lack of confidence is really
my worst quality.
I’m not contempt with where I stand, and
so I try to change. It seems to be that I can’t tell if I am
sane or strange. I feel the need to be admired. It’s an
awful shame. I care too much what people think, but
then I think the same.
From now on, I think I’ll try to see
myself with clarity. Its common sense that my worst feature is
my insecurity.
I think one day, you’ll see me change. I
am a firm believer. I hate being a follower; I long to be a
leader. I know that this may sound silly; you
may say I’m a dreamer. But contrary to past mistakes, I will be
an achiever. © 2013 Cwortknee |
