It was you

It was you

A Poem by Cwortknee

How could you have broken me?

What is it that I've lost?

You claim all the prize money,

And I pay all the costs.

I must ask anonymous,

How is it that you cope?

How can you go on with life,

And leave me with no hope?

Who's at fault this time, I ask..

for all the fear, the shame?

Where should all of this blame fall?

I'll never be the same.

You go on, at least, with life,

yet here I stay to bear.

If only you could understand...

But then you'd have to care.
