UntitledA Poem by Tina Odishoabuot me
Leading me no where, I take a forbidden path. One not meant for a child so young, It shows me unbelievable sights. Sometimes I think I’m dreaming, Walking on this horrid passageway. Blameless people losing their life. Blood of the innocence showing me a gory sight. I wait to leave this dangerous place. Recover from all my unforgettable pain. Yet this trail I take never comes to an end. At times it repeats my past just so It can play with my thoughts. One day I’ll go a different way. Turn around and lead my self towards the light. But until I have the courage to change directions. I live with regrets haunting my mind. Telling me I can’t change what I’ve done. Sadly I believe this voice that comes from within me. And so I live barely hanging on. For what happens in the future is soon to come. Now I can only ask myself Will I be apart of that future or will I be in a better place?
