When Times We Part

When Times We Part

A Poem by Mazie

The pain and ale of broken heart torn wide,

Still bleeding, left to lover’s ever loss,

The gash of life in stitches, wrapped and tied

Betrayal inside, now left to face the cost.

Still love prevails all sickness pain and aches

Though tearing, shredding, bleeding still remains,

Let not this pain now harden for our sakes,

But let us move along in love again.

Though now our time has come to sudden pass,

The thought relieved of anguish and betrayal,

Now blossoms that, the truth in looking glass

My vision of that night of twisted tales.

My love, though pain it may, it’s not the end,

For life goes on, and we forever friends.

Maybe only I have went through a divorce, love with all my heart, watch it all fall apart, or the fact I am hopeless romantic....either way, I can connect to this piece. You captured the heart-wrenching pain of losing a love with passion of hope to once again love again. I love the work. I hope to read more of your work soon.
