FatherA Poem by MazieMy point in this sonnet is that at times, we spend so much energy and attention on the fine details, which causes us lose track of the main idea, to love and be the best we can be.From High He reigns across the globe, beyond; What Fathers’ love and care ever measured To He who molds and loves us all as one? Those lost remain your children - loved assured. You guide them, love them; fight His red-hot flames And burning cinders bear no power here, Where lamb chops rest with ease by lions, tame, And peace and love do purge both pain and fear. But we the ones who still have yet to face The challenge life has brought to be our best; And led by blinded mice can’t lead us straight, So we so often give into the rest; But when Fall’s turned into cold ice and snow, I pray that I may see your face a-glow.
