A New PerspectiveA Poem by MazieWe've all gone through rough patches. This sonnet is about realizing that this is a part of life, that we are not alone in our troubles and that by pushing onward, there is hope for better days.
Survive the world, our endless human trials;
The crosses brought each day, to each our ways Uphold the challenge brought to us the while, To strengthen that, our spirits for all days. How bitter those may turn who can't see good. An endless pit of strife they build themselves And all that's good escapes their vision's hood So there they lie, a cavern, in they dwell. But those who prosper, shall they see the light,
To know the joys of life, to live a life; Accept the Fate and see the beauty of the night And treasure each, our moments without strife. We all have faults, we've each out battled wars, And he who knows this all, sees life the more. © 2014 Mazie |
