Every Day Until The Day

Every Day Until The Day

A Poem by Andrew Cureton
"

I composed this during my last few years of school as I felt I wasn't able to prove my self worth with academic work putting effort into my assignments just to be told that I only got 50% or less.

"

Every day until the day

I suffer not physically

But intense is the pain of time

As it is every day until the day

That time and the three fates take their toll

On my bleeding heart

I can cope with cuts, scrapes and bruises

But cope I cannot with the love my heart oozes for the absent

Piece to the intricate puzzle

That half that fills the half full or half empty glass

The one who makes everything whole

Every day until the day

I pray that when our paths intertwine

That we can as soul saviours can consume each other’s leaking love and end the pain

Not even death could make us part

For poor death has no heart for his part
