A Poem by Andrew Cureton
"

I Eventually want to turn this into a song and sing it how its meant to be sung.

"
You taught me how to talk again
to understand and be understood
thankyou
you showed me how to love
that I can be more than a cut above
thankyou
if it wasn’t for you
I don’t know what I'd do
you showed me how to have
the right attitude
and now I want to shower you
with a magnitude of my gratitude
thankyou
honesty is the best policy
thanks to you I  can see
those in front of me
be all that I can be
end all that try to oppress me
without doing it aggressively
I now know I only need blood to live
A heart with love to give
Air in my lungs for these words to be sung
I love my true family,
the ones who didn’t give birth to me.
