Graveyard Lament

Graveyard Lament

A Poem by Kyle Jordan Eller

Thinking thoughts influence minds

Barbs, Brambles, and thorns

following a path undisclosed

What are the pitfalls revealed?

Looking inside a labyrinth of doors

Twists, turns, trusting no one

What good is a broken compass?

Never finding the end destination

Where does a cloudy spirit lead?

Thick fog surrounds all landscape

Do you obtain any solace?

Drinking from a poisoned pool

Who wants to live a cluttered life?

Who wants to be willingly blind?
