Life's source

Life's source

A Poem by Kyle Jordan Eller

Life's source

Vast, Endless covering all
Flowing around every bend
Leaking from pipes, diving from cliffs
Reaching far past the corners of the world
Ebbing to the end of time, reaching from the start
Dripping in caves, falling from blue skies
Vital to the birth of civilization
I alone inhabit the cradle of life
From first cry to last vapor
Oceans, rivers, seas, ponds, and lakes
Raging on through them, the keeper of depth
Diverse in color from blue, gray, brown
My strength displayed on Earth's face
Staying for all days, Dauntless and forever
