Standing at the kitchen sink

Watching the leaves

Blown off tree and shrub

 

A kaleidoscope of colour

Light green, yellow, orange, red and brown

Dancing, racing,

Twirling across the lawn

 

Up, over

Around

The raised flower bed

 

Gathering together in a heap

In a sheltered spot

 

Tomorrow sweep them

Shovel them

Into a heap alongside the

Compost heap

With my garden and sycamores I could have written this myself. Sometimes we forget to write about the everyday so well done. It's also good the think of the compost heap that feeds another cycle of growth.

We have no sycamores now - they just, sort of rotted.
Copper Beech, Laburum; Fir tree, Holly with a fuchsia hedge.

Sweep the opposite way
thats a better way

I write as to comes into my mind
We are lucky we live 125m above the sea (Four miles away)
& can see the hills 10 miles away and across the Solway Firth to SW Scotland

We get the weather > good or bad

well I have a historic novel just finished
Lot's of researching

280 pages Begins 1830 i Hawes 3 men meet 1 has money
Blacksmith & farmer agree to go into business to open a woolen textile factory > descriptions of the journeys - by stage coach#The factory was being used by smugglers to store goods
Oh education reforms
Girl runs away from a bullying father and is smuggled to a safe home with work

Ends where they have refurbished another mill after a collapse and are ready to reopen it as a visitor center

Second book begins on the opening day

O descriptions of hill walks, > a country fair and sheepdog trials

I just write what comes to me > it grows itself
