May MorningA Poem by Wild RoseMay Morning
Woken up early morning with bird song through the open window Across the plain the sun is rising behind the hills Descending the stairs Looking through the window at the top of the stairs The view between the two rows of houses Light green leaves of the copper beech to the right To the left and further out Are dark green and dark bluish red of a lilac tree Center are the green fields of the hill top pastures With a few sheep and young lambs Busy getting their breakfasts
