The fishing trip (Colab)

On the water break it stands light scanning across the open sea

There, there at the center.

''I think i saw something''

And the light comes in.

"You fool"

"Don't let it go away"

And up it goes, while i look down in dissapointment.

"Were we supposed to catch it?"

"Sure,why are we here for?"

The light coming from the lighthouse comes across my face

And im blind for a second where i can't see a damn thing.

And in that mili second many thoughts cross my mind.

But why was i here, what did i really want to catch.

Everybody is in their postion, while im really just put in place.

It's like i can move but i can not.

Im feeling strange.

If only my life was like the light of the lighthouse.

Guiding away the boats to their destination.

Mine was turned off, no lights at all.

They go round and round but still end up crashing somewhere.

I grab an apple and i eat one side of it.

As im biting it in my mouth,

Im thinking how life is like this apple.

Sweet and sour at the same time.

I spit it cause i didn't like the taste.

I had nothing against life but,

I simply don't like apples that much.

Im more of a strawberry person.

"Why don't we got strawberries here again?"

''Are you a guard or a market seller?"

" I was just asking"

"Better watch the light so no boat crashes with another"

Indeed, he was right.

Just like me, crashed with my crash.

Crashed with life.

In this ''nasty'' job,

But i like it,

So why not.

Fishing trips are right up my alley!
And I love climbing lighthouses and peering at big wide ocean from the top. We have those long, narrow, winding staircases here. To be a beacon of hope to so many who would otherwise be lost at the dark seas is a privilege in itself. Your thinking is high here, Wild Rose.
As for a fruit, I’ll be a ripe, red juicy plum any day!

I am not really into fishing myself, but i adore the metaphor of a lighthouse and what it represents. Just as the lighthouse stops ships from crashing against the rocks, so too do we need a lighthouse of our own to guide us through life and stop us crashing and ending our journey prematurely. Sometimes just a little light is enough to keep our course steady. I enjoyed this write and your collab with MilkyWay. :))

Collabs are just great things to enhance your creativity and also others creativity when you work with them. It creates better understanding between the partners. I and R.J. have a few collabs done till now and we are heading towards the next collab soon.

Catching fish is much better than spitting apples while watching boats crash :)
