New Year Resulutions

New Year Resulutions

A Poem by Wild Rose

New Year Resolutions
Christmas is over. Time to reflect on the year gone bye.
Think of changes to be made, and
Resolute to do better in the year to come
Look after the finances better; improve my fitness; eat less rubbish
So it goes on
Remember Last new year?
By January end; half were gone into oblivion
And resumed to treacle pud
The exercising went when February brought the snow
I wonder
How long will this year resolutions last
Happy New year lets get it started right

If I have not started doing whatever I think I should be doing by now (age 63) there's no hope that a new year will change a damn thing! I love your honesty delivered with amused wisdom. I like how you show how exercise goes by the wayside in Jan, healthy eating gone by Feb . . . it would be fun to do a poem showing the months of the year & how we slide down & down & down, as the year goes by . . . until we're pigging out for the next holiday season again! Your poem stirred much deep emotion in me, as you can see! *wink! wink!* Looking forward to being entertained by you more in 2020! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Hi Dhara - Happy New Year
I was thinking what I could do to make changes that I could keepread more
Happy New Year Wild Rose I know what you mean about resolutions. Mine don't last, but at least I try. This year and starting tomorrow, I will be spending forty minutes a day on my exercise bike. I have seven pounds to shift. If I can do that by February, I will be a happy bunny.
