Walking by the shoreA Poem by Wild RoseWalking by the shore 21 July 2019 11:57 Walking by the seas edge Incoming tide lapping at our feet Each tide closer
Jump to dodge the waves As the lap ever closer Ever higher
Watch the swell out in the deep Dwindling as the close in One foot
Six inches On the sands With a swish sh sh
As the land Tumbling pebbles Cickety click
Receding wave Back down the sand To join the swell
Sh Sh Sh Clickety Click Wave and pebbles
Each wave pushing us higher Away from the sea Closer to the land
Go back You land people Where you belong
