Austwick: Yorkshire Dales

"
                                                              Field Path
                                                Ingleborough in the distance

Direct path

Wharf Hamlet

To Austwick

Farm to village

 

Built for foot and horse

Either side dry stone walls

Wild flowers and

Blackberries grow

 

Hedges

Blackthorn (May Blossom)

Flowers before the leaves

Hawthorn

Damsons 


Animals from the farm

Cows and sheep

in the fields

other smaller


Rabbits

Field mice

Stoats and weevils

about their daily chores

 

Birds
Robins, tits
Hedge sparrows 
By the score
Goldfinch
Blackbird, Thrush
Crow
Birds of prey
This is their home
Where they hunt
Feed and 
Live

Thank you taken in the south of the Yorkshire Dales
I like the quirkiness of this. And the bonus is that I know the areas very well in this seasons as in the others.

Been cycling: camping: walking in the dales; Lakes; Peak District for about 65 years now
what a treat ...looks so real and magical i can almost believe it was painted from imaginings ..what a life Wild Rose ... so many places and instances i have missed ... but you have put me there by sharing ...picture and poem are intimate .. well done .. love the adventure down that path ...
