Do you remember? (When first we met)

Do you remember? (When first we met)

A Chapter by Wild Rose

Do you remember when first we met?

I was with Deborah

Her intended was on a

Round the world cycle tour

His return day was unknown

You were with

Married friends

They had a car

You were staying the night

With them

You were whisked away

In a flash

No goodbye

No meetings planned

I wanted

To find out more about you

Following weekend

Repairing my car

Another friend brought two tickets

Backword she said they were spare

She gave me your address

Go and invite you she said

I came round in greasy overalls

Your parents didn't care for me

But still, you accepted

I returned all spick and span

A good evening we had

We arranged to meet next morn

Then more and more

A weekend away at Malham YHA

Our friendship grew stronger

We got engaged

Got a house

We planned a wedding

The snow came down

You had to be carried to the car

We are still

Travelling together

This is definitely the most sentimental thing you've written that I've read so far! I love it! There isn't anything super remarkable about these circumstances, but what would please most women would be the level of detail you remember & hold onto fondly. This in itself is a statement of the fondness you have around these happenings, so long ago. This is true romance. I always say I hate romance, but to me, this is what romance is all about . . . the little things, the connections, & remembering. There's no doubt how much fondness is packed into these words (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
