Midnight sun

Midnight sun

A Poem by Wild Rose

Midnight Sun at Akranes

Midsummers Day in Iceland

Camping on the shore

At the mouth of the fjordur

Watching the changing colours

As the sun sinks in the sky

The ever changing colours

Blues; Red: Yellow and Green

Many variations in between

Too many to copy

Pictures to help the memory

Is the best we can do

This is the darkest part of the day

From here the sun began to rise in the sky

Gorgeous photo & your words add so much to the image. "Too many to copy". Yes! All those in between colors we struggle to find names for. Nice job.

Love the posted image Wild Rose. Was the duplication of words intentional? I enjoyed the imagery you conveyed with your lines. In Iceland on Midsummer's day, there must be very many hours of daylight.
