Hold up

Hold up

A Story by Wild Rose
"

Stuck in traffic

"

Traveling north on the Brenner Road
We passed a British coach re-joining the road
Into a tunnel - Lights on
Light approached - Lights off

"They are stopping" She said
"Have their lights flashing"
We pulled in
More cars came up from behind

GB coach pulled behind
Traffic stopped
Go and see
Coach driver says he will go

Smart car has tried to overtake
A wagon and tow (trailer)
pulling out to pass another
Smart car is squashed

Two hour later begin to move
Slowly in single file
Past the wreckage
And on our way

I like the photography here. It really adds an extra hint of depth to the work. My particular favorite part of the piece here is,
"Two hour later begin to move
Slowly in single file
Past the wreckage
And on our way."

In order to move pass this wreckage we must keep what's important as the goal, no matter how painstakingly slow our journey may be. Great read.

Wild Rose,
I like how you simply share something most of us can identify with. Unfortunate that driving is such a part of our lives. Slowly we go at times. Thankful for an inch forward and driving in first gear. Of course when an accident is seen...sad and we find ourselves praying for those involved.
Thanks for sharing.
Blessings,
Kathy

I like reading about simple things like this. There’s analogies, metaphors, and a slew of contemplations that can arise from even the most mundane life accurances.

This kind of made me think about how we may just see a traffic jam as a mundane nuisance, but it could be the worst day for another person caught in a wreck.

I think “on our way” was such a good line to use because it kind of drives home the idea of just passing on through and continuing one’s day as normal, but those caught in the wreck won’t be doing so.

I enjoyed reading this!
