Alone

Alone in the night

I stand here and fight

Against all the deeds that try with their might

They come and they go

But you never know

The moment they rise from the darkness below

Say it ain't so ... This cannot be true

The evil that is that I never knew

But now is the time to stand up and shine

They've come to devour this soul that is mine

Darkness consumes the entire room

Now I can feel the impending doom

Down in this place I see now the light

It shines with a brilliance that feels all my sight

A knock at the door they want to come in

One things for sure they will not win

The power is mine from eternity

Their efforts unwind in all vanity

Strong is the man that stands in their way

There are no more words that are left to say

Very basic, yet powerful rhyming scheme. The poem has a good flow and rhythm to it. The subject matter is good, I think the message or imagery could be stronger, but that takes time (at least for me). I feel that you could have used more emotive language to produce an emotional response from the reader. Overall, a solid poem.
