Epiphany

Epiphany

A Poem by John

I woke up today and felt alive. I haven't felt this way in along time. My curse felt as though it was lifted from me. It was exhilarating! You know what I mean right? The bliss! If she only knew what she was doing to my heart, it would kill her, like she has been killing me. I am bitter, I am vengeful, but I am alive! Today I was so happy. A day of nothing to do and nowhere to be. She knows not, she will never fathom, but it does not matter my friends, because I am me again. I had fallen in to a void, but in time all the wounds suture up and we will again run. Then, the best part of my day happened...
I woke up from the nightmare...
...I feel back into the depths of reality and was instantly in my place again. Ah, so bitter-sweet, to awake from the pleasent nightmare. The thoughts, the day dreams, pounded into the imaginary s**t hole they sprung from. The bliss in the true is now what I feel. Still the shell protects and mends what was once, but now scared. My nightmare will release and the dreams of harmony will restore into my being, but when? Who knows? Who cares? The time in the hour glass slips through my fingers, and so I wait.

Ay, stream of consciousness perhaps? I really found this to be interesting and mind boggling, it does not seem to be a very clear epiphany, though those can be the best kind, right?
