The dragon wand

Shall we start... asked the dragon.

Sabrina was now on the earth’s surface once more. She looked at the confident and happy faces of her four friends. It was only a second till they all started talking about their attacks.

“My mum thought me that triple back flip, I should really thank her” said Tina, looking at the spot were the monsters had just been.

“What were those things?” Marilyn finally asked, looking at her friends to see who answered.

“I think I saw them in a book, they were…” Vera started but couldn’t finish for she couldn’t remember the name.

“They were the Lord of Darkness’s soldiers” spoke a voice from behind them. To their surprise it was Mr. Bell, the director.

“Mr. Bell?! How do you know?” Stella questioned, looking at him in awe.

“No one has ever seen them” Sabrina added, also looking at the director in amazement. He hesitated for a moment but he knew he had to tell them.

“Look I’m going to tell you something which you must not speak a word about” he said, looking at the nodding faces.

“The Lord of Darkness is my brother” he explained, the faces of the five girls were beyond fascination.

“You and the Lord of Darkness are Brothers?!” Marilyn repeated in astonishment.

“But I don’t understand. The Lord of Darkness claimed to never have any family” Sabrina remembered what her grandmother had told her when she was six.

“That’s because when we were only little boys living in Sports Forests until he was taught the art of dark magic, he got in love with it and lost his mind” the director spoke, making a sad face.

“Wait a moment you and your brother are from the Sports Forests!?” Tina couldn’t believe what he said.

“This looks like a huge world but in reality its tinier than you think, and yes, Mrs. Light, I am a Sportist just like you” he confirmed, now putting a large smile on his face, though you could see his sorrow from inside.

“You’d better go to your dormitories” he said, watching the five amazed girls go back to hut nº101. They all entered the main room and sat around the television.

“I can’t believe it, Mr. Bell’s brother is the Lord of Darkness” Vera said climbing up the steps, she was the only one who had decided to go to sleep. The other four girls didn’t stay long by the TV; slowly they all went till the only one left was Sabrina. Who by now was on the nearest couch to the window watching the crystal raindrops fall on the window. It wasn’t long till Penny came down to see her.

“What’s wrong?” the little octopus asked floating into her hand.

“How did I do that spell, before?” she answered in an impatient tone.

“Wait a moment, you did sorcery?!” Penny was more than surprised to hear this. Sabrina nodded her head slightly.

“I guess I’m going to have to tell you the family secret” she regretted, thinking of a way to tell her all about it.

“What family secret?” Sabrina questioned, looking at Penny with most interest.

“You grandmother from your fathers side was one of the protectors” Penny explained rather quickly.

“But that’s impossible their can’t be two protectors of the same family, the protector would have to be one of my cousins” Sabrina notified what she had read in an old dusty book, which used to lay on a self, in her bedroom.

“It’s rare, not impossible and your cousin Ursula hasn’t got the guts to even kill a fly, how do you expect her to kill the Lord of Darkness” Penny told her, now floating back to Sabrina’s room. It wasn’t long before Sabrina had decided to go to bed.

The next morning went quickly; Sabrina got out of bed, had a shower, dressed up her uniform and went down to have breakfast as quickly as she could. Once she finished, she met Marilyn right outside the door.

“Come on, we’re going to be late!” she spoke grabbing Sabrina’s hand and running to the directors office.

They arrived just in time to start the lesson.

“You’re late, sit down” Mr. Bell commented pointing at the couch. The two of them sat down and waited for him to speak.

“I saw all of you yesterday night fighting those monsters and I know, now, exactly what each of you have to practice to beat the Lord of Darkness” he explained, pacing around the office. They all looked at him intensely.

“Tina, you’ll be practicing martial arts” he spoke giving her a bottle full of some strange liquid.

“What is this?” she asked, looking at it in disgust.

“A bottle full of confidence and strength, use it only in case of emergencies” he told her while giving her a paper full of attacks she could do. Without hesitating she went to the patio to practice them.

“Vera! You’ll be testing your archery” he continued, giving her a bow and an arrow.

“Cool!” she commented and went to aim.

“Stella, you’ll use your talent, so I want you to go to the old training room and practice there” he told her handing her a bronze key which he had on his desk.

“I know exactly where to go” she added and ran through the door.

“Now, Marilyn, you’ll have advanced sword classes, since you know how to handle it quiet well” he explained, taking out his wand and making a sword appear then giving it to her.

“Wow! And with who will I be doing the lessons?” she asked with most curiosity.

“With Madam Olivia, just go into the jungle and walk straight ahead, its very easy to find” he gestured with his hands as he said that. Marilyn quickly ran out the door and went into the jungle.

“As for you, Sabrina, you’ll be studying the art of sorcery” he spoke as he walked to his desk and picked up a wand and handed it to her. Sabrina looked at it carefully. It was a red scaled wand and one of the tips had a head of a dragon on it. It had green emerald sparkling eyes and white pearl teeth.

“It a red dragon wand, I never found a student too powerful to give it to, but I think I have now” he explained, looking at Sabrina’s astonished face.

“But why me?” she finally questioned him with most interest.

“A dragon wand is different from any other type of wand for it only works when it senses it’s true owner, try it” he said, stepping aside for her to test it. Sabrina stood up and flicked the wand. The plant which was just in front of her went half a meter from the floor. When she finished the spell she felt warmth inside her soul. Sabrina…my mistress… said an awkward voice.

“What was that?” she asked, hearing the voice once more.

“The dragon has found it’s mistress, its you” he answered, staring at her in admiration.

“And with who will I be doing the classes?” she finally asked, in a soft voice for the dragon had calmed her down.

“With me” he said, using his wand he transformed the office in an open field.

Shall we start... asked the dragon.

I've been waiting for this chapter, this is my favourite story of yours and I'll glad to say that you didn’t disappoint…this was great. I too can't wait for the next chapter. One question...how do you remember all your different stories? I would get so confused.
