You're Not Alone Chapter 17

“Now I have a question for you.” Jake said.

“What?” I responded.

“When have you started liking me?” He asked.

I felt my face get hot, and I replied, “First sight.”

He chuckled softly.

“Now.” I said. “Explain that dream.”

“What dream?” He responded.

“Where you said you were going to f*****g kill me, you a*s.” I said.

“Oh. That. I don’t really know.” He said.

“I love you, Tommy. But I have to kill you. Those were the rules. That’s why I first said hello to you and was always nice.” I quoted him.

He blushed.

“Now, why don’t you try to explain?” I said.

“We were cowboys?” He said, with a questionable voice.

“Go on.” I said, wanting to hear the rest.

“We were cowboys and there was a dictator and if I didn’t do what he said, he was going to kill you.” He said.

“But you were going to kill me anyways.” I said.

“That’s what I don’t understand. That was the last thing he told me to do.” He said.

“Hm. I guess I could believe you.” I said.

“Yay!” He squealed, as he ran and hugged me, making me fall on the ground.

“Ow!” I said, laughing.

“Sorry.” He said, also laughing.

I looked at him, in his eyes.

“You know,” I said. “I really like your eyes.”

He blushed. He was about to say something, but I kissed him. I heard thunder, and it started raining, but I kept kissing him.

He broke the kiss and said, “Aren’t you scared of storms, you helpless cat?”

“As long as you’re here with me.” I said, kissing him. “I’m going to be fine.”

He smiled, and kissed me back.

“Let’s go home. It’s raining hard.” I said, getting up.

As we walked home, I felt tears coming from my eyes.

“What’s wrong, Tommy?” Jake asked.

“I can’t believe that Cass died.” I said.

“I know, it’s sad.” Jake said, hugging me.

“He was awesome.” I said. “I liked his hair.”

Jake looked at me, with the death glare again.

“What? His hair was frickin awesome!” I said.

Jake smacked me in the back of the head, and kept walking.
