You're Not Alone Chapter 16

I woke up, and went into Cass’s room. Jake was already there, laying next to him.

“Jake.” I said, sneaking over by him.

“I love you, Tommy.” He said in his sleep. “But I have to kill you.”

What the hell is he dreaming of?!

“Jake.” I said again. “Don’t kill me.”

“Those were the rules. That’s why I first said hello to you and was always nice.” He said.

“Jake!” I screamed.

He jumped up, and fell on the ground.

“What the f**k was that for?!” He screamed.

“I don’t know. Why don’t you tell me?” I said.

“What do you mean?” He replied.

“I meant, what were you dreaming of.” I said.

He blushed and said, “Why do you want to know?”

“Because you were sleep-talking, you a*s.” I said, going over to check on Cass.

“Oh.” He said, still blushing.

“You can explain later. First, let’s take Cass to the hospital like the doc said.” I said.

“But�"“

 “Now.”

We took Cass to the hospital, and after a few hours, it was noon. We went into his room, and his face was covered with a cover.

“Looks like cancer beat him.” I said.

“Yeah.” Jake replied.

“The family would like to see him alone.” I heard.

“Oh, okay.” I said, hopping out.

“Tommy, let’s do another X-Ray.” The doctor said.

“Alright.” I said, hopping to the X-Ray room.

After the X-Ray, the doctor took my cast off, and put on a boot.

“You are allowed to walk, just don’t do gym.” He said.

“Thanks doc.” I said, walking out.

“Hey, you can walk again.” Jake said.

“Yup. Now we’re going to take a long walk.” I said.

“Why a long one?” Jake asked.

“Because you have a lot of explaining to do.” I said.

I heard him groan, and I laughed.

“What do you want me to explain?” He said, as we started walking.

“A lot. First, why did you kiss me in the hall at school?” I asked.

“I told you. I love you.” He said, blushing.

“How long have you liked me?” I asked.

“First sight.” He said, blushing more.
