You're Not Alone Chapter 7

“Well, let’s go.” Michelle said, handing me my clothes.

“Alright.” I said, grabbing them.

When she left, I got changed and went to find her.

I looked around, and saw her talking to Jake.

“I thought you left.” I said, walking over.

“Well would you have rather preferred that I left? I was there trying to help get the roof off your ankle, you know.” He said.

“Okay. Well, I’m going to go home, since I want some sleep so I can get to school tomorrow.” I said, as I started walking.

A hand grabbed me on the shoulder, and I looked back and saw Jake.

“You better not be walking home. Plus, what home do you have to go to? The apartment roof fell down, which is why you’re here in the first place.” He said.

“I can go to my adoptive parents house.” I said, starting to shed a tear.

Michelle looked at me, knowing how my adoptive parents are.

“Now if you excuse me, I’m going to go before they start calling to see where I am.” I said, loosening Jakes grip.

~Next day at school~

 

“Tommy!” I heard. It was Jake, of course. Why does he have to be the first person I have to see every day?

“What do you want, Jake?” I asked.

“You’re mean. I was just won-- WHAT HAPPENED?!” He screamed.
