That Little Difference

That Little Difference

A Poem by Crystal Frampton

She's different,
She's special,
She's stuck in her own little world,
All she cares about is her own happiness,
I like that,
I like how she has found beauty in her tears,
Laughter in her demeanour,
Bravery in her fears,
That's what I like,
She's no longer wearing a mask,
She is simply herself,
That little difference draws me to her.

It's important to find your own happiness in life, instead of depending on others to make you happy. Happiness is a tough thing to keep around...but just take life a day at a time and be yourself. The ones who love you will stick around, no matter what you're going through.

Let me guess you are a poet? Your first three lines describe a creative writer and what makes us all different than the rest of the world. I love "...she has found beauty in her tears..." it is a line that speaks to me. Each line is perfect, and the flow moved well to that last great line.

Well done.

This is a nice poem. It is short and sweet with a subtle irony at the end. I like it.

thank you for your kind words,
c.
i like this...some might see it as selfish, self-centered, egotistical...

but it's not...we have to be able to love ourselves first...and be comfortable with who we are...

nicely expressed

And that's what it is all about, if you can love yourself, be at peace with the world, then life is a whole lot easier. Only thing is, this usually comes with age and experience, so teens, twenties can be a bit of a bind. Enjoyed your writing and welcome to the cafe, I hope you enjoy the place
