Failure

Climb to the top 

           A tremendous climb

 Stinging, icy wind blasting the skin

Shivering down the spine

               The peak of opportunities

 Life's work at reach!

                      Almost there...

Reach the top...

         ...Only for legs to give in

Strong pillars collapse down

   Falling...

Fall down into the earth

              Into hell...

Firey pits of darkness...pure evil

 Swallow the very inner being

                   Soul fading power drains

A heart stops...

               So does the brain.

Anger takes over good will

         Strength fades

Destroy everything in sight

                 break through the binding chains

ESCAPE!!!!

Only to be brought down again

    Fall over and die...

Flames consume memories

  Eyes close...

The battle will NEVER end.

      Hatred burns into your spirit

The mark is branded

               Forver to be lost

In hell...

I apologize for the anger embeded into my words...I am soo frustrated at everything right now...gave me inspiration to write.

Failure is always the best inspiration. No one likes to face the thought of failure...even after every part of hard work you did. We all put in so much effort into certain things, get over confident and that can soon bring us down...even if we think so or not. I am afraid of failure, but sometimes...we all gotta get a taste of failure in order to find that hidden strength we think we don't have. It's amazing what we are able to do, once we put our minds to it.

No need to apologize. Anger is one of the strongest emotions (in my opinion) when it comes to writing poetry. Unfortunately most of my poetry has come from a place of anger. But i very much enjoyed this piece and it was well written and I could feel all of the emotion. Keep it up! :)
