![]() Children of the MemoryA Poem by ShiningwolfLaughing and giggling with little voices Hearing a little nursery song from the past Careless voices of children Only you can hear them
Listen with close ears Watching out the window Remembering the good old days Lost in deep memories
Running wild in the grass Bare feet touching the crunching leaves in autumn Falling down into the snowy white of winter Splashing into the deep cool pools in summer
Without a care or worry in the world Innocent that is wrapped in purity A gift given to the children Their golden years of life
Unaware of the troubles of life Laughing at silly jokes Laughing at the adults work Not understanding it yet
Believe in anything and everything Beginning the journies of life Starting to learn the magic of this world Such good memories
Soon all that will fade Time passes by so quickly And what do you have left? Children of the Memory © 2011 ShiningwolfAuthor's Note
