Children of the Memory

Children of the Memory

A Poem by Shiningwolf

Laughing and giggling with little voices

Hearing a little nursery song from the past

Careless voices of children

Only you can hear them

Listen with close ears

Watching out the window

Remembering the good old days

Lost in deep memories

Running wild in the grass

Bare feet touching the crunching leaves in autumn

Falling down into the snowy white of winter

Splashing into the deep cool pools in summer

Without a care or worry in the world

Innocent that is wrapped in purity

A gift given to the children

Their golden years of life

Unaware of the troubles of life

Laughing at silly jokes

Laughing at the adults work

Not understanding it yet

Believe in anything and everything

Beginning the journies of life

Starting to learn the magic of this world

Such good memories

Soon all that will fade

Time passes by so quickly

And what do you have left?

Children of the Memory

yes, I can remember that carefree childhood world. Now as an adult I look back and wonder at the mystery of those protected times, kids are so in the moment, they see every rainbow puddle, its as if when we grow up we stop observing things, we make distractions and dramas more important. Lovely. Thanks

I went to Ireland these last few days and one of the places I visited was Newcastle, a sea side town of beauty, I was like a child again in awe of this beautiful Irish resort. Great poem my friend.
