Words as in Love

Well time has finally popped its ugly head

The truth becomes revealed.

You are not the one for me

So what does this mean you say?

 

Words are not able to wrap this idea

They're only a barrier that shields the blow.

I can't say I love you

For love is a word that has lost meaning.

 

Feelings come and go

Humans experience this everyday

If you end your life now

It only proves you can't control them.

 

Weakness, despair, and utter torture.

You experience this now

But just wait

The suffering will end.

 

Relationships are becoming overrated

For love has lost its meaning...

Love has lost its meaning.

Unworthy people use it too often.

 

Words are barriers that shield blows.

They are used to hide behind the enemy lines.

Actions tend to show more

And you are not worthy.

 

Full of sins and deep secrets

Words are used in play

Nothing joyful is reached

No, only shows the immaturity of oneself.

 

Wait till that one comes to you

It could be by fate

No need to be wrapped up in searching

Stressed about not having a date.

 

People are merely players in this world

Not one is perfect

But each has a role

Each has a word...

 

Words mean nothing

Therefore humans are not perfect

And this love you talk about

Merely a word....

 

Prove it.

WOW! love i agree is fairly overused and i feel teen like us especially use it to freely and dont truely mean it. Love is so much more than a word (when and if it is used and proven) i really like this poem. Great Job!!!

This is a great write.. the word love is a verb as well.. it shows action and if someone is just saying they love you, and not showing it with action, then there is no way you can trust anything that person says. Good job on this one.

love & hate.. 2 strong powerful words that should not be tossed around easily.. only say when you truly mean them! I believe that actions do speak louder.. but sometime hearing the words mean the world.. only if they are truthful words. Prove it.. i agree.. well said!!!!!!
