Waiting Against Time

Waiting Against Time

A Poem by Shiningwolf

I see her

Smile as she will

She carries a burden hidden away

Away deep in her frail heart.

She is wiser than any of us

For she knows death and despair

She knows pain.

She sits under a tree in the midst of autumn

The leaves fall against her pale skin

She just sit's there

Waiting for that someone to lift her pain.

Wind blowing against her long white hair

She is lost in thought

Struggling with the battle inside.

Waiting for that warmth

That one touch to wipe away her misery

She waits and never moves.

Snow falls

It's now winter

Covered in sparkling white

She still waits.

Rain falls on her

As it turns spring

Becoming her only tears

She is alone

The angels feel her pain.

Sunshine raises over the horizon

The peak of spring is over

A true smile awakens

As she is released into heaven.
