Can you hear the beat?

Turn that music up son!

Now sit down and take a seat

This rhythm sure sounds fun.

 

I can picture this scene

Just like I could before

From when I was a teen

This song is what I cared for.

 

The way that song flows

I can't explain

It goes through your soul

And makes you feel insane!

 

So come on and do a little twirl

Keep your body moving

Until you hurl

But even then keep improving.

 

Take me back song

Back to the good old days

Back when I felt strong

I can feel myself replay.

 

I am young again

I feel unbelievable

I can't be restrained

I once again feel like I am free reined!

i enjoy this poem.. it makes me think of anytime i hear an old song from when i was younger as you have described so well in your poem. Nothing like hearing that song come on and jumpin up and dancing to it.. even if its alone in ur room in ur underwear! hahaha.. love it.. thanks for sharing this!
