This Ever Amazing Land

Trees swaying and rivers flow

A mind can rest

As this land glows

 

A sight that stretches

Seems like an eternity

Watching the flowers blow

This is where we yearn to be

 

Clouds fly by

As we stand still

As you think Oh my

This is real

 

We are here

We are alive

These things are so dear

As we watch this land thrive

 

We live on this earth

But too busy with our lives

To only see what this planet is worth

We want peace, this is what we strive.

 

Lay down on the grass

And watch the sky

Just let time pass

And say goodbye.

 

For time has come

To feel at peace

You and earth have become one

Now your problems can release.

we sometimes forget what the earth does for us... i always take that time to appreciate nature and mother nature. Take time to watch a sunset, fall asleep in thick grass, and feel the sun beating down on your face.. this all makes me smile. Thank you for sharing this poem.. well written!
