Willow

Willow

A Poem by Crystal Marie Rome
"

I have always loved willow trees and this is what came out of that love. Please Comment! :)

"
When you are lost,
And I am found,
Inside the willow,
I will bend.

When you are found,
And I have fallen,
Inside the willow,
I will bend.

When you rejoice,
And I sorrow,
Inside the willow,
I will bend.

When you stand tall,
And I bend,
Like the willow,
Remember that,
When you are found,
When you have fallen,
When you sorrow,
That I will always,
And forever,
Bend and never break.

Bend and never break. That is what we all try to do. But even a willow tree has a breaking point, no? When the weight of all the darkness and fears and pain and hate falls down on the willow's shoulders...would it snap? Or would it just bend lower and lower under the weight?

I try to be a willow, but I just can't help fighting back or snapping.
