This is sort of a silly poem, it was written as a little joke for myself and I thought I'd put it on writerscafe because it didn't turn out too bad. Please Comment! =)
One in the house,
Two in the home,
Three in the bedroom,
Four on the throne.
Five withered hags,
Six young maidens,
Seven hopeful knights.
Nine skips the Eight because Eight is forever,
Ten skips nothing because Ten is the weather,
We end at Eleven because Eleven is two halves of a whole.
Two halves of a whole...I think you're trying to say something more here, aren't you? Like maybe just not the numbers themselves, but what they could stand for? I dunno, but i was thinking maybe these numbers stood for events in life or maybe life at these ages. Like 1 is when you're first born, 2 is when you start to get aquainted with the world, etc etc, until you get to 11, which is two halves of a whole meaning two people falling in love later in life? Gaah, Im rambling now. Sorry!
Ahh Death The Kid would enjoy your line about 8! XDD
Anyhow, a very interesting topic to write about. I liked it!
