Let Me Go

Let Me Go

A Poem by Crystal Marie Rome
"

This was a poem I started a while ago that I never finished. The original reason for why I wrote is lost so the transition between the beginning and end is a little odd. Please Comment! :)

"
I see a man,
Behind the boy,
I see a light,
Beneath the ink,
I see love,
Deeply entangled,
In hate.

So I beg you,
Let me go,
Let me go,
And see the sun again,
Let me go,
Let me go,
So that I may live my life again,

And if you wish,
You may come,
With me.

Because I see the man,
Behind the boy,
The light,
Beneath the ink,
The love,
Deeply entangled,
By hate.

Yet still you hold me back,
Still you hold me fast,
Let me go,
Let me go,
To see the man in light and love.
Let me go!
Because I see that man!
The light is so bright it burns!
The love is warmer,
Than any hate you can muster,
Than any hate you can give me.
Let me go!
So that I may once again,
See the light of day,
Feel the sun upon my face,
And the wind running through my hair.
Let me go.
So that I may live my life again.
