Crystal, I believe all of us here at WC will be able to identify with this. I've written and posted several on the subject myself...but this is so clearly overwritten by your signature way with words. You have such a distinctive style all your own that is SO masterful, and it shines through in this piece. Such a wonderful expression of the frustration a poet experiences when the words choke up and the mind brakes to an abrupt stop. Wonderfully done! take care...dan
Very short but in those few short words that's all it takes to describe... (in an interesting poetic way,) just how it feels when we get writers block. When we crave to write so bad, but we have wrote about so much we are out of ideas, or you just can't think. It really sucks and happens to allot of writers all the time, including myself. I'm sure plenty of writers including me can relate to this.
Don't give up inspiration will come. Whether it be from music or a movie a person in your life, other peoples writing or anything else.
Great write :)
the dread writer's block, moral enemy or twisted friend? I begin to feel him (her?) sitting beside me, chuckling maniacally...what an a*****e, huh?
It can make us better writers having slain the beast. Channel pain and suffering and allow this hideous monster to walk beside us, just telling him, "shhh..." He can be a good boy if handled correctly. Yeah, a good boy.
Great write Crystal. take care...dan
I am a poet by nature. Words just speak to me and color my world. I away think of poetry as painting with phases, just as vibrant and life giving as they are messy and complex. more..
