lazy love

lazy love

A Poem by Crystal Overmeyer-Birmingham

Sun sprinkles
drenching our skin
dripping on our souls
quenching our thirst
with golden hues and splashes of greens
we hide from the tempest
inside a fort designed by
our lips and tangled limbs
grabbing at my hip
drawing me close
all the while whispering
with a wolfish smile
I love this storm

This was great and didn't seem like a lazy love to me!

Wow, what a stormy relationship - I adore this! We'd like love to be all soooo serene, but it's often quite like this. Well done Crystal, very creative, and yet real! :o)

anytime... it was a fair and strong poem.
Your love awakens such beauty in the trembling of the storm. Yes, there is a magic delight in these touches of warmth when the world outside is alive in a fury of wildness. Loved this.

the wolf represents the lust in a mans heart, a mask safely worn by your hubby no doubt! :(

About
I am a poet by nature. Words just speak to me and color my world. I away think of poetry as painting with phases, just as vibrant and life giving as they are messy and complex. more..
