PoolsA Poem by Crystal Overmeyer-BirminghamI use to swim in this pool with you Cool and refreshing We drank in our youthfulness And splashed about in the waves of ignorant bliss Cannon balls and Marco Polo we grabbed life by the hands and
watched as the water filtered out. Clear and clean chlorine now clogs my pores and bleaches
my soul You beckon with green tainted hair for me to join But now this pool seems too small Coming only to my knees I am left covering myself I need a new pool to play in or maybe an ocean to swim in. © 2015 Crystal Overmeyer-BirminghamReviews
