Love knows no bounds, but it can learn.

Love knows no bounds, but it can learn.

A Poem by Cruz Niq

Can our love be a contract.
With a warranty on the safety net,
We'd have no reason to fret.
Why darling, it'd all be in the fine print.
Just follow rules in clauses A through Z,
A tight and productive, yet wondrous regime.
This is my proposal without a grain of salt in sight.
Without a knee, without a ring,
Just pen to paper as the ink sings.
Order and obedience is all I need.
I'm not asking for workers compensation,
Nor any time off for vacation.
All I want is your time to be tamed.
It's very simple you see,
You'll have your freedom...but you will not do as you please.

There is something in our souls that searches for control. It is useful, necessary even. Control feeds power, it becomes power, it is power.

It has moved us out of caves, but, overblown, turns others into slaves.

And, power without wisdom is a fearsome thing.

Perfectly put in my opinion. In my past experience, men accept you until they put that engagement ring on finger and then they start to change you and expect you do do things their way. And marriage is a contract for them not a commitment or the covenant it is supposed to be. I think you have captured the essence of that with your poem. Great job!

hidden illusions of freedom lingering tentatively behind the poem, almost like an insecure ultimatum. Then again i've never been great at interpreting poems lol ;)
