Blessed

Blessed

A Poem by Voiceless
"

A poem I wrote about my feelings about that one person you'll never truly over. Also that wishful thinking that it'll work out in the end.

"

It’s hard to maintain myself

When I’m around you

The pitter patter in my heart beats faster

Similar to a game of double dutch

It’s easy to let go

Tell you the wonders of this world.

My world

Your world

But the harsh realities

Rear its ugly head

I want to get lost

In you

With you

But I know that I can’t

And it’s not your fault

It never was

The world gave me this sadness

It was chosen specifically for me

What do I do with it?

No clue

But that smile gives me momentary happiness

And the harsh reality hits

And I start counting

The minutes

The seconds

Until I see that smile again

This sadness was chosen for me

The light may be at the end of the tunnel

But until then

I suffer silently

In the darkness

For this sadness was chosen for me
