ever moving

ever moving

A Poem by christopher fox
"

I'm prepping to start performing this one, and will have a recording soon.

"
I'm static--
running on being
manic.
fine for three days,
then the rest of
the week I can't
stand it,
or have it.
But I know it'l
pass.
the mantra, that has
always worked in the
past.
do I lie?
or pull from these
experiences?
ever moving forward,
pacing,
chasing the differences.

I'm candid--
caught up with colorful
waves.
They differentiate themselves
but I know that we
are all the same.
in a way,
or a more formal
truth.
staring at walls
believing I'm seeing
through
perhaps...
not what they hide,
just the teasing
perceptions that I hold
in my mind.

I'm frozen--
cold, pierced with
fear.
lost on this road
I'm just trying to
endear
stating facts.
these scary things
in my mind.
moving in and out
of dimensions
just not believing
time.
It's a lie,
or just the outside
mesh,
holding us together,
honestly...
I'm a mess.

I'm lost--
ever stuck in place
I have the perception
of movement,
it's just lost on
my face.
displaced...
that I feel like
I don't belong.
four days out of
the week,
just reaching for
the bong.
For how long,
Can I keep this up?
flipping back and forth
living on blind luck.

I'm free--
in debt higher
than I can see.
still reaching for
the stars,
not believing they
can hold me.
and I'm soaring,
somewhere deep in
outer space.
a case of wasted
youth ,
still searching for the
mirror holding something
great.

I'm moving--
vibrating with glee.
feeling all this movement
that makes this perception
of me.
You see?
why are we here?
just for life's sake
to live without fear
but we dilute it.
try to add meaning.
convolute a system
that is on us
feeding.

I'm standing--
for these things that
I believe.
shouting out these
facts
that I just believe
that I see,
the basics.
I'm trying to
reach back
back to something that we've
lost somewhere deep in
the past,
but it's there.
maybe in outer space.
flipping back and forth
my war is to lower
my own hate.

I'm calm--
increasing these three
days
still have my bad
ones
I'm not perfect
I'm not sane.
But I'm trying,
with each and
every step.
to enrich those
around me
to my very last
breath.

Very interesting, is this like a rap song or something? I am trying to picture the beat, don't know if I got the right one though XD I like it, especially toward the end, we are not perfect but we can still strive to help and enrich those around us while we can, to help inspire and encourage them. I also like the part saying that "my war is to lower my own hate," I think we all have to battle this, sometimes it is so easy to have hurt feelings and such, we all need to learn how to forgive one another.
